Most Memorable Running event:
Each race has its own little story, but running th e1988 Ekiden road relay in New York with teammates like Joel (Rovang), Arnie (Falk), Bobby (Hoffner), Jerry (Schwartz), Mike (Just) and Dave (Wrolstad) was memorable.
Favorite Place to Run:
The Lakes with Tom Z. and Paul C.
Favorite Workout:
Running 7-10 miles, then going to the track for 5x1 mile repeats under 4:50 per mile.
Why did you start running?
My brother Brent was running at the time and I would try and hang with him in training runs. We would go out for an easy 5 and he would just kill me....He got his payback though!!!!
Favorite Race: Dam to Dam 20K in Des Moines, IA.
Other Activities:
Am working as an Environmental Microscopist with Braun Intertec in Minneapolis.
Running has been and still is a big part of my life. I have met so many good people in this sport that have influenced my life, like Rollie Rust, Tom Devine, Jared Mondry, Craig Davidson, Dave Wrolstad, Dick Bowman, Tom Stambaugh, Fred McCurnin, Tom Zimmerman and Brent Osborn. Each one true competitors to the end.
